  • May 14th, 2009: Letter grades are now available on WebCT
  • May 8th, 2009: Final Exam information
      Time: 5/12, 4-6pm
      Room: EE/CS 3-230
      Scope: Chapter 4 to Chapter 7
      Open books, open notes, laptop allowed but NO internet connection
      Three sections:
      Section 1: Single choice (30%) 10 questions
      Section 2: Multiple choices (30%) 10 questions
      Section 3: Short answers (40%) 5 questions
  • May 4th, 2009: In homework#4, there is a typo in problem 9, where *a += *b should be *a++ = *b++. However, if you have already finished your assignment with *a += *b, you don't have to redo this problem, just keep the answer as is. It will be graded based on which statement (*a += *b or *a++ = *b++) you worked on.
  • Apr 28st, 2009: Homework#4 is posted, due 5/5/2009.
  • Apr 21st, 2009: Optimization Lab is posted.
  • Apr 13th, 2009: In problem 7, Homework#3, you may call the valE (input to the single write port) new_valE.
  • Apr 9th, 2009: Homework#3 posted, due 4/16.
  • Mar 23th, 2009: Wei is in Seattle attending the CGO conference. His office hour on 3/23 and 3/25 are cancelled
  • Mar 16th, 2009: Midterm Exam information
      Time: 3/24, in-class
      Room: EE/CS 3-230
      Scope: Chapter 1 to Chapter 3

      Three sections:

  • Mar 12th, 2009: For Homework#2, problem 5, there is no specification whether the compiler is under Windows or Linux. Gcc aligns double precision variables differently for Windows (8 byte aligned) and for Linux (4 byte aligned). You may choose any model, but if you assume Linux, please say that in your answer sheet !!
  • Mar 11th, 2009: New Homework#2 writeup posted. Errata removed.
  • Mar 10th, 2009: In Homework#2, the assembly code of problem 4 is incorrect (Thanks to Joe Husby). Get the correct code from errata. An updated pdf file will be posted tomorrow.
