Introduction to Computing in Biology.

Course Announcements

  • May 12: TaeHyun post grades on GRIT . Please check your grades and let TaeHyun know if you have any questions. If you are still working on labs or extra credits, please let TaeHyun and Prof. Dan know.

  • May 6: Final 'Praticum' will take place on Thursday, May 8. Meet in the regular classroom at 2:30, then we will move to the Lab at 3pm. Everything should be over by 5pm.

  • Apr 15: The Digital Media Center would like your responses to the technology in the classroom at this survey, open until May 15. They are also seeking volunteers for a student focus group to be held the week of April 21. There will be incentives for focus group participants selected: a $20 gift certificate to the bookstore, plus pizza, snacks, and/or refreshments.

  • Mar.13th: 2nd Midterm date moved to April 3.

  • Mar.5th TaeHyun posts grades for the first Midterm. If you have any questions, please let TaeHyun know. Check grades. .

  • TaeHyun posts grades for POPQUIZ4 and POPQUIZ5.GRIT .

  • TaeHyun posts grades for POPQUIZ3, LAB1 and LAB2 on the GRIT .

    If you have any questions regarding your grades, please contact to a TA.

  • 8-Feb-2008 Prof.Dan will have a make-up lab session from 3-5PM on Monday.

    If this time does not work for you, please send an email to a TA to make an appointment (thwang_at_cs_umn_edu).

    TaeHyun can meet you on Saturday(any time), Sunday(except 1~5PM), Monday(9~11AM)or Tuesday(after class).

    You can also send an email attached with your codes to TaeHyun. Please describe your codes with details(using comments) and give clear explaination of your errors.

  • 20-Jan-2008 The date for the first midterm has changed to Thu 2/28/08. See the updated syllabus. Other dates may be subject to change until after the semester starts.
