Homework 5 (extra credit) due 1 May 2006.

Confirmed: By popular demand: Third midterm on May 3. No Final Exam.
The three midterms will count equally (20% of total score each).

Extra office hour Wednesday 2/22 10:00am. Come early, because at 11am I will
have to end the session to go to a previously scheduled meeting.
Also, there is a mistake in the homework solution handed out. The answer to
1h is 5.01e-3, not 5.00e-3. The latter answer would be
correct if ties always rounded up, but here we are using "round-to-even", so
1.00500 is rounded down, while 1.00501 is rounded up.

Reminder: Midterm on Wed. 2/22/06 in class.
Also: Comments (pro and con) are due on 2/22 (the day of the midterm)
on having a midterm on May 3 in place of a final exam on May 13.
So far, no comments have been received at all.

Another TA(Ham Ching Lam: hamching _at_ cs.umn.edu) will work for us this semester. He will take his office hour at 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Thursdays. His information is also updated in the syllabus.
