CSCI 8980 Announcements

10/7/09:
Reminder: All project proposal reports and presentations are due by email by Thu noon. Please send the reports in pdf and the presentations in ppt format. Check the Course Requirements link for guidelines.

9/28/09:
The meeting times for the project group meetings have been put up on the schedule. The meetings will each be ~15 mins and will take place in my office (CS/EE 4-209). Please come prepared with some project ideas, so that we can discuss those and determine the scope and suitability of the project.

9/22/09:
Details on the Xen cluster for class projects has been put up. In addition, scribe notes and reviews for papers are being put up on the schedule page. Access to all these links are restricted to students who are enrolled in the class – you need your UMN login/passwd to access these links.

9/11/09: A tentative schedule has been put up. I have tried to assign presentation and scribe duties as close to your preferences as possible and resolved conflicts on a first-come-first-serve basis. While this schedule is close to being final, a few minor changes might still happen if required.

9/9/09: Please make sure to send your paper preferences to me by email by Thu afternoon before the class. The sooner you send it, the higher your chances of getting your preferences. I'll also try to update the reading list by marking the popular papers already claimed, so please avoid selecting those papers in your preference list.

9/8/09: Details on course requirements have been added. Please check the link on the left.

9/3/09: A Reading list of papers has been added. Please check the link on the left.

8/31/09: Welcome to CSCI 8980! Please check the information link for class information. The class website would be updated soon with more details.
