Project Purpose
Create a student planner application that replaces a traditional paper and pen student planner, and to provide
a planner that can be easily carried with them everywhere they go.
Supported Tasks
- Task/Event Scheduling: Various types of events and tasks are supported, such as classes, exam dates, doctors
appointments, homework assignments, etc.
- Schedule Management: The application provides various calendar views to assist a user in managing their schedule.
- Task Management: The application provides a digital to-do list which can be integrated with the events on a users calendar.
Intended Users
We directed this application towards students. We chose a phone application (more specifically the Iphone) because
it's always going to be with them, therefore one less thing they need to carry around.

About our project...
When researching online for current available planners, we found that there was
either too much functionality which made it confusing, or there was not enough functionality directed towards
students. One major issue we considered as well was that the available planners could not be easily viewed on the Iphone.
Our planner has two modes: Calendar and to-do list. Simply put, the user can neatly organize their life into one, easy
to use planner.
Recommendations
We decided to choose a project that we were unfamiliar with. We wanted to work on a mobile application, in order
to get exposure to a different type of interface we have never worked with. This made what seemed to be a simple
project much more challenging and exciting. Because we did this, we felt we learned much more than if we would
have chosen just a more traditional web application. We suggest to explore a lot of different areas that you are
not familiar with or would not have considered doing going into the class. It really is a fun class and if you
have a great project idea then there is a lot you can do with it!
